1. API RP 510 (Pressure Vessl In-service Inspection, Rating, Repair, and Alteration)

For vessels constructed with P-3, P-4, or P-5 base materials, the base metal in the area of repair should also be examined for
cracking by the ultrasonic examination in accordance with ASME code Sec. V, article 4, Paragraph T-472. This inspection is most appropriately accomplished following a delay of at least 24 hours after completed repairs for alloys that could be affected by delayed cracking.

2. ASME Sec.VIII Div.1 UCS-56

(5) After the finished repair weld has reached ambient temperature, it shall be inspected using the same nodestructive examination that was used in (f)(3) above, except that for P-3, Group No.3 materials, the examination shall be made after the materials has been at ambient temperature for min. period of 48 hr to determine the presence of possible delayed cracking of the weld.

3. AWS D1.1/D1.1M, 6.11 NDT

For welds subject to NDT in conformance with 6.10, 6.11, 6.12.1 and 6.13.3, the testing may begin immediately after the completed welds have cooled to ambient temperature, Acceptance criteria for ASTM A 514, A 517 and A 709 Grade 100 and 100W steels shall be
based on NDT performed not less than 48 hr after completion of the wels
